Crossplay does not apply to Railborn yet. The only announced platform is PC via Steam, so there is no second platform to play across. If consoles arrive later, crossplay becomes a real question.

Why there is no crossplay question to answer yet
Crossplay means playing together across different platforms, for example Steam players with Xbox players. Railborn has only announced PC via Steam, so every player is on the same platform by definition. The platforms and price page tracks any console announcements.
What multiplayer does exist
Railborn supports online co-op for 1-4 players on PC. All co-op is therefore Steam-to-Steam. The multiplayer page lists what is confirmed about sessions and what is still unknown.
What a console announcement would change
If WashBear announces console versions, three follow-up questions matter: whether saves and purchases carry over, whether console and PC players share servers (true crossplay), and whether content updates land simultaneously. None of those can be answered today, and we will not speculate ahead of an official statement.
