Railborn's Planet Vesper and the Atlas Bases

The planet Vesper

Railborn is set on Vesper, a world consumed by its own endless railway network. The name was confirmed in the August 2026 dev blog, which also confirmed Atlas. What Vesper looks like beyond the regions shown in official media has not been described: maps, regions and biome counts have not been announced.

Atlas and its bases

Atlas is the corporation in Railborn's lore, and its abandoned bases dot the world. The official detail matters for gameplay: Atlas bases hold plants that are required to unlock technology, which turns them into salvage destinations rather than pure scenery. What Atlas did and why it fell has not been told yet.

Vesperite and height

Vesperite is an ore found on tunnel ceilings, reachable by building a taller train, per the same August update. It connects the lore economy to vertical building: the three-floor height cap in the current build exists in a world where height pays for resources you cannot reach on foot.
